Several Sonoma wineries make overnight stays available to visitors, and though some offer the perk only to their wine club members–reason enough to sign up–others open their front doors to all those interested.

Enriquez Estate Wines
This small producer of pinot noir and tempranillo has grapevines planted along Eastside Road in Forestville. Cecilia Enriquez, daughter of founders Eduardo and Ana Enriquez, is front and center in her family’s wine business, involved in winemaking and taking particular pride in hosting guests at Enriquez Estate’s secluded two-bedroom cottage in the vineyard. It’s rustic yet romantic, and Cecilia can arrange for services such as massage therapy, private chef and guided tours of local Sonoma County wineries and vineyards. $189 per night
Gustafson Family Vineyards
Stay at this western Dry Creek Valley winery’s vacation rental and you’ll be enveloped by 20 acres of vineyards and awarded 30-mile views of the valley and Lake Sonoma. Take in the complimentary tasting of Gustafson’s wide range of wines at its downtown Healdsburg tasting room, then head for your home away from home, which offers a pool, spa, chef’s kitchen, gas barbecue and deck dining area. The master suite has a king bed, shower and spa tub; two first-floor suites have king beds and private baths. Averages $1,175 per night
Halleck Vineyard
Ross Halleck welcomes all to share a portion of his house, perched atop a vineyard in Russian River Valley. There, guests will have a private room and bath, and access to a chef’s kitchen and Halleck wines. There’s also a Finnish bathhouse and outdoor fire pit. Want to live like a winemaker? Here’s your chance, and it comes with the opportunity to sample Halleck’s pinot noirs, sauvignon blancs and gewurztraminers. $240 per night
Inman Family Wines
The Inmans fondly refer to their Olivet Grange Farmhouse as a “bed and get your own breakfast.” The house has three bedrooms, one bath, comfy furnishings, well-equipped kitchen, cable TV, internet and washer and dryer. Grill dinner and dine under an ancient olive tree, taking in views of the winery and vineyards while sipping Kathleen Inman’s elegant chardonnays, pinot noirs and bubblies. Children are welcome at this wine country inn, and a crib and highchair are available upon request. $2,200 per week, $790 for a two-night; $975 for three-night weekend
Jordan Vineyard & Winery
The iconic Jordan Winery was built in the 1970s with three French-inspired guest suites, as part of Tom and Sally Jordan’s vision to make hospitality a central part of their experience. Located on the second story of the Jordan chateau above the dining room and kitchen, the Jordan guest suites boast views of the grounds and wine barrels, and each are fitted with a queen bed, designer linens, a sitting area, a fireplace and elegant decor. The rooms are available exclusively to members of the winery loyalty program, Jordan Estate Rewards, and rooms are available for half the rewards points in 2018 in honor of the program’s 10th anniversary. All overnight stays in Jordan Winery lodging include a private tour and tasting with food pairings. Complimentary round-trip transportation to and from the nearby town of Healdsburg for dinner is also available to overnight guests. Rates range from $50 to $100 per night plus 5,000 to 10,000 reward points per night per person.
Larson Family Winery
The Larsons, longtime grape growers in Sonoma Valley and producers of a wide range of white, red and sparkling wines, make available for booking their Captain’s House, a Civil War-era farmhouse amid 70 acres of vineyards at the winery. With four bedrooms, two full baths, gourmet kitchen, fireplace, backyard barbecue, bocce court, flat-screen TV and internet access, it’s suited for active families, reunions and adult sleepovers. Lynmar Estate
This Russian River Valley producer of fine chardonnays, pinot noirs and rosés offers its wine club members (only) stays at the estate’s Bliss House, tucked into the vineyards and surrounded by organic vegetable and flower gardens. With three bedrooms and three-plus baths, it affords both privacy and congenial sharing, depending on guests’ desires. The outdoor deck is a great spot to take in the view of Laguna de Santa Rosa. Rates vary, based on wine club level and membership seniority from $750 to $1,500 per night, with a two-night minimum stay.
Occidental Road Cellars
The Prather family grows grapes in Russian River Valley, produces small-lot wines from its own fruit, and offers visitors an opportunity to stay in this casual, easy-living home situated within the 20-acre Horseshoe Bend Vineyard. The location is private and relaxing, a textbook example of the lifestyle lived by grape growers and winemakers when their work day is done. Stroll the vineyard, glass of wine in hand, then return to the contemporary house with three bedrooms, three baths, gourmet kitchen and spacious common areas. $375 per night
Starlite Vineyards
Enjoy vineyard and mountain views from Starlite Vineyards’ updated three-bedroom, two-bath farmhouse. Adjacent to the Alexander Valley Grange Hall, this family-friendly home on the vineyard estate sleeps six, with a living room, family room, formal dining room and hot tub. Come for the viognier, cabernet sauvignon and zinfandel, and stay for the peaceful sleep you’ll get when the kids are tucked into bed and the fireplace beckons for a post-prandial toast to the good life. $290 per night
Tara Bella Winery & Vineyards
Don’t be dissuaded by the Santa Rosa address of this cabernet sauvignon-focused winery, because its “The B” suite overlooks waves of Russian River Valley vines, no city in sight. Above the small barrel room and tasting area is this well-appointed unit with a king bed and everything one needs for a relaxing, serene stay — except for the breakfast part of B&B. There is a microwave, refrigerator and outdoor grill, so enjoy morning coffee and local baked goods and fruit, and a glass of cabernet sauvignon on the deck in the evening, pre- or post-dinner. WiFi yes, TV no — but who comes to wine country to watch “The Voice” and “Big Brother”? $225 per night with a two-night minimum; $180 per night for wine club members
